Maxvorstadt (80333 and 80799) combines academic life with elegant period housing around Königsplatz, Karolinenplatz and Türkenstraße. It is home to the LMU main building, the TUM city campus, the Alte and Neue Pinakothek, and the Museum Brandhorst.

Maxvorstadt directly adjoins the Old Town to the north and is reachable from central locations in 10 to 20 minutes. The main arteries are Ludwigstraße/Leopoldstraße (north-south) and Brienner Straße and Barer Straße (east-west). For addresses between Königsplatz and the university, approach via Karolinenplatz and Amalienstraße is fastest.
Public transport is excellent: U2 (Theresienstraße, Königsplatz), U3/U6 (Universität, Odeonsplatz), U4/U5 (Odeonsplatz), tram lines 27 and 28 (Karolinenplatz). Parking is regulated by resident zones with few short-term spaces; we use the underground garage at the Pinakothek area (Gabelsbergerstraße) or loading zones — in the narrow period streets around Türkenstraße we cover the last metres on foot.
Maxvorstadt is Munich's university quarter — home to LMU, TU, the Academy of Fine Arts, and numerous higher-education institutions. We often treat migraine and exam-related headaches in students and academic staff. Early attack therapy with IV fluids and a triptan, administered directly in the apartment, can prevent days of impairment.
Also typical: flu and common colds, which circulate quickly through dense lecture halls and seminars, and gastrointestinal complaints from the tight dining and shared-flat environment. In all cases we provide sick notes, prescriptions, and follow-up directly on site.
On the southern edge of Maxvorstadt, in Ziemssenstraße, lies the LMU Munich Clinic, Innenstadt campus — university-level maximum care with an emergency department. To the north, München Klinik Schwabing at Kölner Platz adjoins. The Deutsches Herzzentrum München and the Schön Klinik München Schwabing are reachable in minutes via Leopoldstraße. If inpatient care is required, we coordinate admission directly during the house call.
