Harlaching (81545, 81547) is popular with families and retirees. Streets like Harthauser Straße and Grünwalder Straße are lined with Gründerzeit villas and 1950s Einfamilienhäuser. The Klinikum Harlaching (München Klinik) and Schön Klinik München Harlaching serve as major medical anchors, though house calls are often the most convenient option for established outpatients.

Harlaching lies in Munich's southeast between the Isar and the Perlacher Forst. From the city centre we reach the district in 15 to 25 minutes — the main axis is Tegernseer Landstraße, leading from Giesing via Candidplatz southward. From the west we come via the Großhesseloher Brücke from Solln, from the east via Ständlerstraße from Perlach. The Mittlerer Ring encircles Harlaching at Candidplatz and Tegernseer Landstraße; the A995 motorway (Giesinger Berg) connects the south in minutes.
Public transport: the U1 and U2 metro lines with stations Silberhornstraße, Untersbergstraße, Giesing, and Mangfallplatz serve the northern parts of Harlaching. Tram line 25 runs from Max-Weber-Platz via Tegernseer Landstraße down to Grünwald — the central Harlaching stop is Schwanseestraße. Bus routes 139 and 147 open up the villa quarters around Menterschwaige. Parking in the villa quarters is uncomplicated since most plots have their own driveways. Around Klinikum Harlaching short-term parking rules apply; we stop discreetly at the entrance.
Harlaching is one of Munich's oldest residential districts with a disproportionately high share of seniors and many established families. This shapes our caseload: we frequently treat high blood pressure and hypertensive crises — we measure, record an ECG, and decide whether acute on-site lowering is indicated or whether hospital workup is required.
We are also frequently called for vertigo and circulatory complaints, where prompt clinical assessment in familiar surroundings yields valuable diagnostic clues. And for acute back pain and lumbago — for older residents of the hilly villa areas a house call is often the only realistic option, provided no neurological red flags are present.
For orientation: two major hospitals are in the immediate vicinity. München Klinik Harlaching (Sanatoriumsplatz 2) is a municipal hospital with an interdisciplinary emergency department focusing on internal medicine, geriatrics, and paediatrics. Schön Klinik München Harlaching (Harlachinger Straße 51) is renowned nationally for orthopaedics and sports medicine. For university-level maximum care, Klinikum rechts der Isar (north) and Klinikum Großhadern (west) are accessible. If inpatient admission becomes necessary during a house call, we coordinate the referral directly.
